Loic Remy netted on his Las Palmas debut to ensure his side’s first points of the season in a battle with fellow strugglers Malaga.
Both sides had lost each of their opening two matches going into the clash at La Rosaleda on Monday evening.
Jonathan Viera and Jonathan Calleri also found the net for the visitors with Diego Gonzalez grabbing a consolation.
Viera fired the Gran Canarian side in front with a finish off the post in the first half before Gonzalez, a summer signing from Sevilla, levelled things up with a flicked header just after the break.
Calleri restored the visitor’s lead as he held off Gonzalez to fire home at the near post in the 69th minute before second half substitute Remy netted his first professional goal since 2015 late on to seal the win.
