Atletico Madrid have confirmed that Adrian Lopez has signed a contract extension with the club until 2018.
The forward’s existing deal was set to end in 2015, but the capital club have revealed on Tuesday that the Spain international has put pen to paper on a new contract.
The 25-year-old has become a key player this season with the Rojiblancos riding high in the table, scoring a solitary goal in 11 games.
“Adrian is a great player and a great guy,” President Enrique Cerezo told reporters. “He gives everything for this team.”
