Los Che previously enquired about the 25-year-old last season, but were quickly rebuffed by the capital club.
However, with Diego Simeone adding Leo Baptistao and David Villa to the squad, the former Oviedo man’s place in the Rojiblancos XI looks to be in doubt.
As such, the Mestalla side could strike a deal with the Vicente Calderon team.
Adrian has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal.
