Malaga midfielder Emmanuel Ceccheni has joined Mexican champions Tigres on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old only made two La Liga appearances for the Costa Del Sol club – neither as a starter – and the Mexican side will also have a purchase option included in the deal.
The central midfielder made his professional debut for the top flight Argentine club Banfield in 2016, where he made 34 appearances in all competitions.
Cecchini was identified by the Andalucian’s sporting director Francesc Arnau as a direct replacement for Pablo Fornals, who departed Estadio Rosaleda for Villarreal in a €12m deal.
The Argentine arrived at Malaga in a €6m deal and after only 96 minutes of first-team football, has departed the club.
