Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez has given his backing and 'continued faith' to the club’s under-fire Coach Pako Ayesteran.
The tactician became the first manager in La Liga to win 11 consecutive matches – having lost his last seven league games at Valencia before joining Los Amarillos.
The Gran Canaria side have been in a rut of form with Ayesteran losing all four of his league matches in charge and conceding 15 goals against Barcelona, Celta Vigo, Villarreal and Deportivo La Coruna.
“We must continue with our faith in Ayestaran,” Ramirez stated, as quoted by Diario AS.
“It would be irresponsible of us if we do not give him time to implement his set style of play.”
The one ray of light for Ayesteran’s Las Palmas was a 4-1 Copa del Rey win at 10-man Depor last week and they lie in the relegation zone of La Liga.
