Valencia have announced that winger Pablo Piatti has extended his contract with the club until 2019.
The 26-year-old, a one-time Argentina international, was transfer-listed by Los Che two summers ago but refused to leave the club and has since enjoyed a new lease of life under Nuno Santo.
“Today is one of the happiest days of my career and I’m really looking forward and very motivated to continue representing the club,” he told Valencia’s official website.
“I’ve had to work hard and I’m very happy at this club. I’ve always had a lot of affection for these colours and I want to stay here.
“From the first moment that I was approached [about a renewal], I said I wanted [to negotiate]. Luckily, I’ve been able to fulfil this dream.
“I want to thank my teammates, coaching staff, the club and fans, the latter of whom have always been by my side.”
Piatti joined Valencia from Almeria four years ago in a deal worth €7.5m.
