Espanyol have been dealt a huge blow as Pablo Piatti will miss Sunday’s visit of Sporting Gijon in La Liga.
Piatti has been arguably Espanyol’s player of the season, with five goals and seven assists in just 11 appearances, but the Valencia loanee will take no part against Sporting due to a hamstring strain.
“There’s no room for complacency or relaxation. Overconfidence is a big danger,” Coach Quique Sanchez Flores said at a Press conference.
“The games that seem to confirm [your progress] are always complicated.
“Chen Yansheng? He likes what he sees, he’s noticed changes. He likes our professional and working dynamic. He’s excited and eager.”
