Athletic Bilbao have announced that they have signed Andoni Iraola to a new deal committing him until June 2015.
The defender was approaching the final six months of his previous deal, but has been confirmed today as penning a new contract extending his stay until the end of next season.
Iraola recently marked 10 years since his senior debut with the Basque Country outfit, is sixth in the club’s all-time appearances list and has so far been an ever-present under Ernesto Valverde this term.
The 31-year-old’s extension follows closely on from that of captain Carlos Gurpegui, whilst President Josu Urrutia has already affirmed his desire to renew the contracts of Ibai Gomez, whose current deal expires next summer and Iker Muniain, who is out of contract in June 2015.
