Nenad Bjelica has outlined his sentiment towards Diego Simeone, as he lists what he hopes for from Austria Vienna in facing Atletico Madrid.
The Austrian outfit host their Champions League Group G rivals this Tuesday evening for the third round of group stage games, with Atleti currently top of the group on maximum points.
For this and Los Colchoneros’ presence in second place in La Liga, Austria Vienna have full respect, says their Coach.
“Atletico are a top team with great players. They have a great Coach, one of the best in the world in Diego Simeone,” began Bjelica to reporters today.
“His continuous work pays off, they are together with Real Madrid and Barcelona as the best teams in Spain.
“Our defensive midfield and centre-backs need to close the space between the formations to leave no space for Diego Costa and David Villa.
“If they get enough space, they are very dangerous and can decide the game themselves.
“I want to see a determined, aggressive, disciplined and well-organised Austria Vienna side and players fighting for the result, for their club.
“We saw with Porto and Zenit, that if we put in hard work and all the players play their best football, we stand a decent chance against any team in Europe.
“Atletico is one of the best teams, and it is privilege for us to challenge them in the Champions League.”
