Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of Saint-Etienne midfielder Josuha Guilavogui.
The 22-year-old [pictured, right] has two full French international caps and has made 93 League appearances for Saint-Etienne in his four years at the club.
“I am pleased to have come to such a big club as Atletico and to get the chance to play in front of their fantastic supporters.
“I hope to bring hard work to the team so that it can continue to win titles in the coming years,” he told Atleti’s official website.
Guilavogui’s signing comes on the back of the capture of defender Toby Alderweireld from Ajax, and director of football Jose Luis Caminero believes both will be good additions to Diego Simeone’s squad.
“They have come here to complete a very competitive squad and respond to the challenges that face them.
“Both players are strong, powerful and of high quality. This allows us to have more resources within the team and more alternatives. It increases competition within the group, which benefits everyone.
“They are young players with a bright future who have competed at a high level for several seasons and will increase the quality of our team,” explained Caminero.
