The doctor had the heart of a blood-doping trial in Spain has claimed that Real Madrid owe him money.
Eufemiano Fuentes is one of five defendants being tried as part of Operation Puerto, which is looking into alleged public health offences.
The medical professional is accused of performing improper blood transfusions at the start of the century, with a number of cyclists being implicated in the case.
Fuentes told Spanish radio on Friday that he was “interested in collecting a debt from Real Madrid”. However, when asked if the debt was for his medical services, he responded: “I can't answer that.”
The doctor's lawyer, Tomas Valdivielso, has insisted that the debt “had nothing to do with Operation Puerto.”
A spokesperson for Real Madrid has claimed that the club will put out a statement in due course.
