Reports claims Barcelona are interested in summer move for Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez

Barcelona may be in the market for a new striker during the summer, with Robert Lewandowski and Vitor Roque both having been linked with moves away. The latter has especially looked like leaving on loan, having been unfancied by Xavi Hernandez in the first few months of his time in Catalonia.

If Roque is deemed to not be the striker of Barcelona’s future, they may look elsewhere for Lewandowski’s successor. According to a report in England, as covered by Sport, they are interested in a possible summer move for Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez.

Nunez has come under fire this season for his lack of effectiveness in front of goal, and it would certainly be a risky signing for Barcelona, even though he does have a very high ceiling. However, he would also have a very high cost, one that they are unlikely to be able to afford in their current financial state.
