Euro 2016 Squad Selector – Spain

Vicente del Bosque plans on stepping down after Euro 2016 and goes to France with La Roja looking for a third straight European Championships success, Luis Aragones having claimed the trophy in 2008 with Del Bosque repeating the feat four years later.

Del Bosque named a 25-man preliminary squad in late May with more than a few surprises, leaving out Diego Costa and Paco Alcacer, going with Alvaro Morata and Aritz Aduriz as his only recognised out-and-out centre-forwards. Football Espana asks who’ll be in the squad seeking the three-peat, and wonders why some of the names mentioned didn’t make the cut.
