Arturo Vidal ‘aware’ of Barcelona form issues

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal confirmed his worries about their form following a 2-1 La Liga win away at Leganes.

The Chilean midfielder was the late hero at the Estadio Butarque, as he came off the bench to score the winner for Ernesto Valverde's side.

However he admitted in a post match interview that La Blaugrana need to improve if they want to defend their La Liga title this season.

"We are not feeling great at the moment," he told reporters from Marca.

"We know that we have a lot of areas to improve in, and we are hoping to do that in the coming games."

"We need to control games more, and work on not conceding goals."

Vidal also echoed his manager's comments on their inconsistent away form so far this season, but added that despite the 'complications' of playing away from the Camp Nou, the team must do more.

Vidal is set to keep his place in midfield for next weekend's crunch La Liga crunch clash with Atletico Madrid, after Sergio Busquets picked up his fifth league booking of the season against Javier Aguirre's side.

However, before they head to the Wanda Metropolitano, Valverde's side can secure their place in the Champions League last 16 with a midweek win at home to Borussia Dortmund.
