Barcelona want Juve’s Emre Can, Real Betis make offer

Real Betis are the first club to make an offer for Juventus midfielder Emre Can with Barcelona also interested, say Calciomercato.

It is reported that the Seville-based club want an alternative to William Carvalho – who has missed most of the campaign through injury – in the holding midfield position but the German international is not keen on joining the club.

Can has been frozen out by new Coach Maurizio Sarri this season, fuelling frustration on his part and speculation that he could leave Juve this winter.

The 25-year-old looks likely to leave the Bianconeri this January with a host of clubs said to be in the running to sign him, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain among the sides monitoring the situation.

Can has found first-team minutes hard to come by this season and has started just one match in Serie A this campaign, playing 150 minutes, amid stiff competition in the position.
