Sevilla linked with Mexican rising star Jose Juan Macias

Sevilla are reportedly tracking the progress of Mexican star Jose Juan Macias.

According to reports in Estadio Deportivo, Julen Lopetegui's side have been alerted to his excellent form with Liga MX side Leon, where he is on loan from parent club Guadalajara.

The 20-year old has netted 17 goals in 31 games for Leon, as well as four four in three for the Mexico national team, after making his senior debut back in October.

Sevilla Sporting Director Monchi has confirmed the club are looking at the potential of bringing him to Spain, and a summer move is being considered.

"He is an outstanding young player.

"We are following his progress very closely, to see if he would be a good fit at Sevilla.

"We are looking to assess if he meets the characteristics needed for a young player in our squad."

Sevilla have struggled for goals so far this season, following the summer departures of Wissam Ben Yedder, Luis Muriel and Pablo Sarabia, with Javier Hernandez, Luuk De Jong and Munas Dabour managing just two La Liga goals between them so far this season.
