Alvaro Odriozola set for La Liga suspension

La Liga have confirmed that Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola will serve a one-game suspension following his red card against Real Mallorca.

The Spanish international was dismissed in the second half of Real Madrid's first La Liga defeat of the 2019-20 season  at Estadio Son Moix, a yellow card in each half for Zinedine Zidane's side.

His second foul, on match winner Lago Junior, which led to his dismissal, means he will Los Blancos game at home to Madrid rivals Leganes on October 30th.

The former Real Sociedad man will be available for the midweek Champions League clash away at Galatasary, with Zidane's side not playing next weekend, following the postponement of El Clasico.

Dani Carvajal is expected to replace Odriozola, after he was rested for the defeat to Vicente Moreno's side this weekend.
