Sergio Ramos open to Olympic call up

Real Madrid and Spain captain Sergio Ramos has confirmed he is considering representing La Roja at the 2020 Olympic Games.

Robert Moreno's side saw their Euro 2020 qualification delayed after a 1-1 draw away in Sweden, but they are expected to secure a place in next summer's tournament against Sweden in midweek.

Ramos has also been linked with a place in Luis de la Fuente's squad for the Olympics, after Euro 2020, as one of the three designated overage players in the squad.

"Any player that is offered the opportunity to play in the Olympic Games would say yes.

"It is too early to discuss this, as I will not be rushed.

"For now, I am just focused on Real Madrid and qualifying for Euro 2020.

"There is still a long time left to decide, but it is a nice idea to go to the Olympics."

Ramos broke the Spanish appearance record in Oslo, making his 168th international appearance for La Roja, but he was disappointed not to seal qualification on his historic night.
