Sergio Ramos to break Spain appearance record

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is set break the Spanish all time appearance record in tonight's Euro 2020 clash with Norway.

The 33 year old will make his 168th appearance for La Roja, as he captains Robert Moreno's side in Oslo, moving ahead of current join record holder Iker Casillas in the process.

Ramos has been ever present in qualifying so far, playing in all five of Spain's Group F qualifier so far, and he is currently their top scorer in qualification, with four goals in his last six international games.

The veteran centre back is expected to be partnered in defence by Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente, with club mate Dani Carvajal or Sevilla's Jesus Navas at right back.

Ramos is one of 13 players to make over 100 appearances for Spain, alongside winning three major international titles with his country.

The closest to him in current squad is Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, who has 113.
