Mikel Oyarzabal wants long-term Real Sociedad stay

Real Sociedad striker Mikel Oyarzabal has played down speculation he could leave the club: “I see myself here for many years.”

The Spain international has grown into one of the best attacking talents in La Liga and already has four goals to his name this season from eight appearances.

“I see myself playing for La Real for many years, I only think of La Real…I feel comfortable, loved and wanted,” Oyarzabal told Cadena Cope.

Oyarzabal has hit 25 goals in La Liga across the past two seasons with his impressive level of performances earning him his first cap for the Spanish national side – in the victory over Sweden in June, where he also found the net.

The 22-year-old starred for his nation’s Under-21 side in their European Championships triumph this summer and is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the country.

Oyarzabal was linked with a move to Manchester City this summer but no move came to fruition and it now appears he will remain at the Basque club for many years to come.
