FC Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti suffers break in

FC Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti's home was raided during their 5-2 win over Valencia CF this weekend.

The French international is the latest of in a string of La Liga stars who have suffered house break ins whilst playing away at matches both in Spain and in European action.

Umtiti – who was an unused substitute in the game this weekend – informed local police of the incident in the early hours of the Sunday morning.

Reports from media outlets in Spain have claimed that four balaclava wearing assailants broke into his house in the Espulgas De Llobregat area of Barcelona, however this is yet to be confirmed by the authorities.

The Catalan police service – Mossos d'Esquadra – are continuing with their enquiries into the break in, but have released no details on what was stolen or the damage caused.
