Zinedine Zidane praises forgotten man James Rodriguez

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has hailed the impact of James Rodriguez so far this season.

The Colombian international returned to the club this summer, after Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich decided against making his loan move a permanent one, after two years in Bavaria.

The former AS Monaco man was heavily linked with a move to Serie A side Napoli, and city rivals Atletico Madrid, however no bid materialised and he has stayed at Real Madrid.

"James has shown his quality since the start of the season.

"In each game he has played he has shown real quality and I am pleased with him.

"Physically, he is still coming back into shape and he was dead after today (Levante).

"But I am so happy for him."

Rodriguez has started two of Real Madrid's four La Liga games so far in 2019-20, with an assist for Karim Benzema in both games.
