Luka Jovic stalling at Real Madrid

Serbian forward Luka Jovic finding it hard going at Real Madrid, explain Mundo Deportivo

The striker, signed by Real Madrid this summer to aid a light forward line, has so far failed to shine at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Currently injured, Jovic has failed to put his name on the scoresheet since June 10th.

He scored 27 goals for the Bundesliga outfit and was signed to give the club more of a goal threat after the departure of Cristano Ronaldo.

At this moment, the Serbian has played 263 minutes in the White jersey but has failed to find the back of the net. The closest he has come to scoring was when he hit the post against Real Valladolid.

As the report points out, he played against Villareal in the last league encounter before the international break – playing with Karim Benzema up top  in a 4-4-2 formation.

But when Eden Hazard returns from injury, everything indicates that when Jovic himself returns from injury, he will have to find game time from the substitutes bench and bide his time.

Neither the Serbian national association, nor Real Madrid have confirmed for how long Jovic will be out on the sidelines for.

It is early days into his fledgling Madrid career, however with the pressure cooker that is Real Madrid, Jovic has to hit the ground running upon his return from injury.
