Nélson Semedo in good health after injury scare

Portugal and Barcelona defender Nélson Semedo recovery progressing well, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Barcelona full back, who is a mainstay at his club side and country too with 10 international caps to his name, suffered what originally looked a nasty injury whilst on international duty with Portugal in their win away against Serbia.

The player was involved in a strong challenge with Serbia's Aleksandar Kolorov in the 65th minute of the mat ch, which forced the Barça man off the field.

The challenge, which caught Semedo's right ankle, was enough for the player to leave the pitch on a stretcher.

However, medical scans after the game showed that no injury was diagnosed and the player could be in line for a quick return when Portugal are back in action on Tuesday against Lithuania, although they do have Manchester City's João Cancelo on standby if needed.

Thr player is scheduled to be back for Barcelona's return to league duties next Saturday night when they take on Valencia at the Camp Nou.
