Kepa Arrizabalaga – the new talisman for Spain

Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga aims to make it the magnificent seven for the Spanish National Side when they take on Romania tomorrow.

La Roja have maximum points on the board with four wins from four played. However, they face a tricky test in Bucharest on Thursday evening when they take on Romania in a crucial Euro 2020 qualifying match.

But Robert Moreno's side can take heart from the fact their keeper is on a hot streak at the moment – with a 100% record of six wins from six international matches ensuring he is now the unquestionable number one goalkeeper, taking the gloves off Manchester United's David De Gea after some shaky performances between the posts.

Chelsea's young Spaniard is in his secong full season with the Stamford Bridge club since his big money move from Athletic Bilbao and after a nervous start to life in the Premier league, he has established himself as a fine goalkeeper – making 40 league appearances to date and collecting the Europa League trophy.

The 24-year-old has continued to grow and credits his Spanish colleagues for this: "The competitiveness within the Spanish camp with De Gea and Pau is very healthy and productive to spur us on."

Spain's keeper department are complimented by AS Roma's new and already experienced goalkeeper Pau López, who signed from Spanish outfit Real Betis this summer, giving La Roja much competition for places in a key position.

Kepa has a fight on his hands to keep his place in the team, yet ultimately Spain are in good hands with their goalkeeping department.
