Ernesto Valverde tired of Neymar to Barcelona talk

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has admitted he is tired of the transfer speculation linking Neymar with a return to the club.

It follows a summer of intense speculation that the Brazilian will return to the Camp Nou from Paris Saint-Germain, but with just days until the close of the market, the boss has spoken that he is fatigued by the talk.

“I am looking forward to the end of the market and resting,” Valverde told reporters on Friday, in quotes cited by Marca.

“On a scale of 1-10 on the subject of Neymar, I’m tired at 9.5!”

The Brazilian star has been heavily linked with a return to Barcelona this summer as an exit from the French capital had appeared to be looking increasingly likely.

The former Santos forward left the Camp Nou for Paris in the summer of 2017 for a world record €222m fee, but reports continue to suggest he may be open to a departure from the Parisians.

Neymar has continually been linked with a return to Spain since his departure with the Catalan giants and Madrid said to be keen on a future transfer.

However, despite a prolonged saga of multiple reports claiming that the clubs were in negotiations and a deal was on the verge of completion, it now appears the deal will not be processed.
