Barcelona released a statement confirming striker Ousmane Dembélé will be out of action for five weeks after a hamstring tear.
“A medical examination on Ousmane Dembélé has diagnosed a strain of his left hamstring. The Frenchman is set to be out for approximately five weeks as a result.”
The Spanish-language version of the statement gave a few more details, pointing out there was a tear to the muscular fibres in the femoral bicep.
It is another big setback for the Blaugrana, who also lost Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi to injury.
