Nolito on the verge of Celta Vigo move

Sevilla CF forward Nolito is set to return to former club Celta Vigo.

Fran Escriba's side have been linked with a move for the former Manchester City player for the majority of the summer, however a deal is yet to be struck between the two clubs.

The reported issue is over Sevilla's demand for €2.5m for the 32-year old, despite his contract at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan ending in June 2020.

Celta Vigo have been unwilling to pay that for a player who will command a high annual salary, and is only likely to sign a maximum of a two-year contract with the Galician club.

However according to reports in Marca, a compromise has been reached, with Nolito determined to push the move through after rejecting an offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League club.

Nolito made his name at the Estadio Balaido between 2013 and 2016, scoring 39 goals in 100 La Liga appearances before his move to the Premier League.

He joined Sevilla in 2017, after a disappointing time with Pep Guardiola's side, making just 19 league appearances in his single season in England, before returning to Spain.
