Takefusa Kubo rejects Real Valladolid loan

Real Madrid teenage sensation Takefusa Kubo has rejected a loan move to Real Valladolid.

The 18-year old Japanese international joined Los Blancos this summer from J-League side FC Tokyo, and impressed during the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

Kubo, who spent time as a youth team player at rivals FC Barcelona, was expected to play for Real Madrid's reserve and U18 sides during the 2019-20 season, prior to Real Valladolid's interest coming to the fore.

Sergio Gonzalez was keen to bring Kubo to the Estadio Jose Zorrilla on a season-long loan deal, with Real Madrid happy to sanction the move to provide the teenager with more first team experience.

However, according to reports in Mundo Deportivo, the player and his agent and father, have decided against the move, preferring to stay and develop with the Real Madrid youth set up.

Real Madrid have not given up on persuading Kubo to accept the loan deal, and will continue negotiations with the player.
