Rayo Vallecano have confirmed the departure of midfielder Gael Kakuta to French side Amiens SC.
The DR Congo international was consistently linked with a return to the club where he played on loan from Chinese Super League side Hebei Chinese Fortune in the 2017-18 campaign.
His performances with club in Northern France persuaded Rayo to bring him to the Spanish capital, after he spent a loan spell in Vallecas in the 2014-15 season.
He only managed 12 La :Liga appearances in a disappointing 2018-19 for both Kakuta and Rayo, as they finished bottom of the table and secured an immediate return to the Segunda Division.
The club have not released details of the transfer, however it is widely reported that he has been allowed to leave on a free as they look to reduce their wage budget for the 2019-20 campaign.
