Sevilla risk three players terminating contracts

Sevilla risk losing Roque Mesa, Joris Gnagnon and Guilherme Arana as all three players can terminate their contracts, report Marca.

The three players have been forced to train with the club’s reserve side as Sevilla seek to find buying clubs for the trio, for whom they see no first-team future.

However, this is now said to have violated terms within their signed contracts and each could now be in a position where they can walk way from the club, without a transfer fee required.

According to the AFE players union in Spain, Sevilla have “not acted in accordance with the law” in their actions with the players and they are now studying their futures.

AFE president David Aganzo has said: “We are working on this case at the moment, it is not something that is new for us unfortunately – it has also happened at other clubs.”

Gonzalo de Medinilla added: “This is a violation of the player’s contract and they can now request that their agreements with the club are terminated.”
