Roberto Soldado signs for Granada CF

Newly promoted La Liga side Granada CF have completed the signing of Roberto Soldado.

The former Spanish international joins Diego Martinez's side on a free transfer following his release from Turkish side Fenerbahce in June 2019.

The veteran striker, who has enjoyed a nomadic career, with spells at Real Madrid, Osasuna, Getafe, Valencia CF, Tottenham and Villarreal, before making the move to Turkey in 2017.

The 34-year old posted on his personal Instagram account a picture of his passport earlier this weekend, hinting that a deal was close, and now Granada have confirmed the deal – subject to a medical.

Soldado also received an offer from fellow La Liga side Levante, however he has accepted Granada's offer of a one-year deal, with a possible 12 months extension, over Levante's one-year contract.
