Sandro ‘thanks Valladolid for their confidence’

Sandro Ramirez thanked Real Valladolid for having confidence in him after completing a season-long loan move from Everton.

The forward, who spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad, completed another return to LaLiga on Wednesday after an unhappy spell at Goodison Park.

Sandro moved to Merseyside from Malaga in 2017 but failed to settle as the Toffees struggled under Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce, and joined Sevilla on loan in January 2018.

He failed to score during his time in Seville and didn’t hit the net for La Real either, but is sure he can get back to his best with Pucela.

“I want to thank Valladolid for their confidence in me and the opportunity to continue in LaLiga. I come here with enthusiasm and the hope it’ll be a great year for everyone,” he said, Marca reports.

“It was clear as soon as negotiations began. Valladolid was my only choice. When they trust you after a bad year on a personal level, you don’t have to look anywhere else.

“I’m able to show my level again. This is football, and when you’re a striker and don’t score goals, everything is bad, but this is a streak and a bad one. I’m going to turn it around. I know the player I am and what I have inside.”
