Villarreal’s Enes Unal to rejoin Real Valladolid

Real Valladolid are likely to once again land Villarreal striker Enes Unal on a season-long loan deal, according to Diario AS.

It is claimed that Javi Calleja, the boss of the Yellow Submarine, has no plans for the Turkish striker and will instead count on Gerard Moreno, Carlos Bacca, Karl Toko Ekambi and Samu Chukwueze for his attack this campaign.

That means that – whilst a permanent exit for the striker is not ruled out – a loan deal is the most feasible and that is appealing both to Unal and to Valladolid.

Villarreal paid €14m for the striker after he netted 19 goals in all competitions for Dutch side FC Twente in the 2016/17, but he has not been able to replicate that form since.

He grabbed six goals in 34 appearances for Valladolid last season having hit just four across 24 outings for Villarreal.

The Turkey international was signed permanently by the Yellow Submarine from Manchester City and he has also previously played at Bursaspor, Genk, NAC Breda and Levante.
