Roberto Moreno confirms constant communication with Luis Enrique

Spanish assistant national team coach Roberto Moreno has confirmed that Luis Enrique picked the team for the 4-1 win over the Faroe Islands.

Moreno, who is standing in for Enrique for the second successive international camp, confirmed that the former FC Barcelona boss is still the one making the calls on team selection.

Enrique left the Spain camp in March during their preparations for games against Norway and Malta, due to a family emergency and that has continued to cause his absence from the La Roja camp.

Moreno oversaw back to back wins in March, followed by a third UEFA Euro 2020 qualification win away in the Faroe Islands, however he confirmed that it is only a temporary arrangement.

"I have been in contact with Luis all week as we prepared for this game.

"I spoke to him before the game about the line up for today and we discussed tactics for the threat of the Faroe Islands.

"We maintained contact throughout the game, and we have a courier delivering messages to him at full time.

"I am here for as long as I am needed, but Luis remains manager of the team."
