Paris Saint-Germain have opened negotiations with Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas, according to a report in Marca.
The Costa Rican has been behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order for the majority of the season while Luca Zidane, son of Zinedine, has also been selected ahead of the Costa Rican.
The 32-year-old started just 11 La Liga matches this campaign although seven of them have arrived since Zinedine Zidane returned in March.
However, multiple reports have suggested that the experienced goalkeeper has been told he is not part of Madrid’s plans next season.
The news comes on the same day that Gianluigi Buffon has confirmed his departure from the French capital after one campaign.
A report in Diario AS this week claimed Portuguese champions Benfica were interested in a deal but interest from the Parisians could blast them out of the water in terms of a financial approach.
The Portuguese giants had been linked with a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen although this now appears unlikely as the Blaugrana will not reduce their asking price for the Dutchman.
Navas joined Madrid from Levante in the summer of 2014 and has won three Champions League titles with the club.
