Rayo Vallecano want Raul de Tomas loan exemption

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has confirmed they are speaking with Real Madrid about allowing striker Raul de Tomas to play against his parent club next weekend.

De Tomas is currently on a season long loan from Los Blancos, however as part of the agreement he is not allowed to play against Zinedine Zidane's side – however Jemez is hopeful a concession can be agreed.

"We will manage the situation with Real Madrid to see if we can avoid that clause.

"However, if we cannot do that, we have cover in Javi Guerra and Franco di Santo."

De Tomas has been in excellent for the relegation battling side from south Madrid, with 14 La Liga goals, and his absence would be a real blow for them.

He is already out of the midweek trip to Sevilla, after collecting his fifth booking of the season in the weekend 0-0 draw with bottom of the table Huesca.
