Real Betis eye Real Madrid striker Raul de Tomas

Rayo Vallecano striker Raul de Tomas, currently on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid, is on the radar of Real Betis for El Mundo Deportivo.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form for struggling Rayo this season, hitting 11 La Liga goals in 24 starts, having scored 24 times last season in the second tier.

However, Madrid have informed the Seville-based club that they want the striker to join them for their pre-season this summer before evaluating his future.

De Tomas played for Los Blancos during pre-season last season under Coach Julen Lopetegui but new boss Zinedine Zidane wants to monitor the in-form forward, says the report.

Betis for their part are keen to bolster their frontline following the January departure of Antonio Sanabria on a long-term loan to Genoa, while just Loren Moron and Sergio Leon are recognised strikers in the Betis squad.
