Lionel Messi will start on the bench as Ernesto Valverde rings the changes for Barcelona.
Valverde has retained just four players from their midweek Copa del Rey win over Levante, with Jordi Alba, Philippe Coutinho, Arthur and Ousmane Dembele the only players still in the starting XI, as Barcelona look to reestablish their five point lead at the top of La Liga.
Leganes, who causd a shock earlier in the season when they beat Barcelona 2-1 at home, have also rung the changes following cup action. Manager Mauricio Pellegrino has changed half of his team for the trip to the Nou Camp, with Ivan Cuellar, Dimitrios Siovas, Kenneth Omeruo, Recio and Martin Braithwaite all starting again for the visitors.
