Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal is moving closer to re-joining Sevilla this month as the club’s continue to negotiate, say reports in Spain.
The 28-year-old initially joined the Blaugrana from the Andalucian club in the summer of 2015 for a €28m which included add-ons.
However, Vidal has failed to make an impact, starting only 14 La Liga games and has played second fiddle to Dani Alves, Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo.
A report in Seville’s El Correo states the full-back – a converted winger – only wants to join Sevilla and a loan deal with an €8m option to buy included.
Roma, Inter and Valencia had also been linked to the former Almeria player but a return to Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan now appears to be close.
