Barcelona have made Ajax’s teenager Matthijs de Ligt their ‘chosen one’ as their next central defensive signing, according to reports in Spain.
The 18-year-old Dutchman is said to be highly rated by officials at the Camp Nou, with confidence he can fit the club’s style of play with ease.
Mundo Deportivo report they will move for the Ajax defender next summer to compliment the deal which has already been concluded for Palmeiras defender Yerry Mina.
De Ligt has already won one senior cap for the Netherlands and alongside Mina, will be incorporated due to the anticipated exits of Thomas Vermaelen and Javier Mascherano.
