Real Madrid v Barcelona: How and where to buy tickets for the first El Clasico of the season

Real Madrid will host Barcelona in the first Clasico clash of the year in the final weekend of October, with the game confirmed as taking place at 21:00 CEST on Saturday the 26th.

For fans that wish to attend what is shaping up to be one of the tastiest first encounters of the season in some time, here are the various options available.

Los Blancos are yet to put general public or member tickets on sale, meaning at the time of writing the only way to get in via the official club website is via VIP tickets. Prices for the expensive seats start at €850. Once tickets do go on sale, usually the Monday before the game for general public, that will be where to get them cheapest, but there is a good chance that it is a sell-out, with members snapping up all the tickets.

Meanwhile Barcelona similarly are yet to put tickets up for sale, but the meagre traveling support will be restricted to club members and supporters’ club offerings.

HOW TO BUY TICKETS FOR REAL MADRID V BARCELONA

The only other option, and the one available to most, especially if you need to travel to the game and have your seat ahead of time, is via third-party ticket sellers, with options like Stubhub, Viagogo and LiveFootballTickets.com amongst the best sources.

Viagogo are by far the most expensive, with their tickets starting at €939, and few available. Stubhub are the cheapest at the time of writing, but equally their cheapest tickets are likely to go quickly, with only around half of the tickets available at LiveFootballTickets.com currently on sale.

LiveFootballTickets.com start their prices at €650, but they do have the largest current offering of the third-party sites, and will sell seats together. Equally, with such large sums of money at stake, they offer a degree of protection, with a readily available customer service line, and a 150% money-back guarantee on your tickets. Something that many other vendors do not offer.

Real Madrid v Barcelona: the most exciting ticket in town

Undoubtedly the world’s biggest fixture, the start to the season that both have had promises a fascinating clash. Los Blancos ran the rule of Barcelona last season, winning all three of the clashes between the two, with Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and surprisingly Lucas Vazquez playing key roles.

The Blaugrana only lost the two league clashes by a goal in each case though, and they look twice the team they did last season. The explosive form of Lamine Yamal has given reason enough for any Barcelona fan to hope they can win any match, although admittedly they are yet to come toe-to-toe with an opposition as dangerous as Real Madrid.

As Los Blancos adapt to the addition of Kylian Mbappe, who will make his Clasico debut in this clash, and the loss of Toni Kroos, Barcelona shot out to an early lead in La Liga, giving them a degree of confidence so far. As much as El Clasico can dictate a six-point swing, the mental impact of the result will weigh throughout the season too.
