Dani Ceballos hits out at report on Twitter/X as Real Madrid exit talk continues

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos‘ future is up in the air with the 28-year-old seemingly looking to move on transfer deadline day in order to look for a bigger role. Against Las Palmas he did not feature at all against Las Palmas during their 1-1 draw with Los Blancos on Thursday night.

Ceballos started the move for Endrick Felipe’s debut goal against Real Valladolid last weekend, but has seen just six minutes of action so far in Real Madrid’s opening four games. That is despite the exit of Toni Kroos and injuries to Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga in his position.

After the match, it was reported that Ceballos was furious with his lack of minutes, but he himself shut down speculation, replying to a post on Twitter/X and calling the reporter Javier Herraez  a “Liar”, adding the Pinnochio emoji.

It remains to be seen if he will finish the transfer window at Real Madrid. He appears to be open to a move, but Los Blancos are demanding a €20m fee for their man. For a player in his prime with three years left on his deal, it is not an unreasonable asking price, but looks as if it will be beyond the means of interested parties Real Betis and AS Monaco.
