For the second successive away match, Real Madrid have dropped points. They were held in Son Moix on MD1, and 11 days later, they have played out a disappointing 1-1 draw against Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.
Carlo Ancelotti opted to bring in Lucas Vazquez, Ferland Mendy, Luka Modric and Brahim Diaz to the side that defeated Real Valladolid on Sunday, but withing five minutes of kick-off, Real Madrid were behind. A dazzling run from Alberto Moleiro saw him ease away from Aurelien Tchouameni and Eder Militao before firing across Thibaut Courtois into the far corner.
It stayed 1-0 until half time, and soon into the second period, Sandro Ramirez missed a guilt-edged chance to make it two. He was made to pay, as on 68 minutes, Vinicius Junior scored from the penalty spot after a handball inside the area.
Las Palmas had the ball in the net late on, but it was ruled out for offside. Real Madrid could not find a winner either, meaning that it ended all-square. More dropped points for Los Blancos, and star signing Kylian Mbappe has still to get off the mark in La Liga.
