Barcelona will not signing anyone for their senior squad before the closing of the summer transfer window on Friday, but they will be adding to the rich pool of young talent that already exists in La Masia.

Pedro Soma is someone that Barcelona have been after for some time. The 18-year-old midfielder has been on their radar since last October, and this has been the case for a number of clubs in Europe and the United States – the country that the youngster represents at international level.
Soma is currently plying his trade at third tier side Cornella, although Relevo have reported that he is about to sign for Barcelona. He will initially start with Barca Atletic, although he would have chances to secure first team progression if he impresses over the course of this season.
Soma has been likened to Toni Kroos with his playstyle, and if he does impress for the B team in the coming months, it would be no surprise if he was promoted to the Barcelona senior squad.
