Real Sociedad are still on the look-out for a new striker, with head coach Imanol Alguacil unsatisfied with the current options he has in the number nine position. In recent weeks, they have been pursuing FC København’s Orri Oskarsson, and a €20m proposal has been received by the Danish side, which they rather surprisingly announced.

Oskarsson is very highly-regarded across Europe, and recently, it was reported that Manchester City were considering him as a future target. La Real want to snap him up before that becomes a possibility, although it’s been reported by Matteo Moretto that their latest offer is about to be rejected.

It could be back to the drawing board for Real Sociedad if they decide not to go any higher for Oskarsson. There is only two more days of the summer transfer window, so the club’s sporting department will need to move very quickly if they are to make a sufficient signing.
