Real Betis want to sign two midfielders in wake of Nabil Fekir departure, talks underway with Real Madrid

Last weekend, Manuel Pellegrini stated that Real Betis would sign no one else once Vitor Roque joined from Barcelona. However, it is now almost certain that this won’t be the case, and that’s all thanks to the impending departure of Nabil Fekir.

Fekir is set to join Al-Jazira Club, and his sale would allow Betis to free up a significant portion of salary space (while also receiving a very handy fee). This will be used to sign at least one player, although MD are reporting that the club’s desire is to sign two.

One of those could be Dani Ceballos, who has asked to leave Real Madrid in recent days. Betis are already in talks with Los Blancos over a deal, and on top of this, they also want to re-sign Giovani Lo Celso, who’s expected to depart Tottenham Hotspur before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Ceballos and Lo Celso joining would be fantastic business for Betis, and there could also be the arrival of Alvaro Valles – although this would depend on Rui Silva leaving, which is not certain. Regardless, Los Verdiblancos are a club to watch during these final days of the summer.
