Villarreal have had a very successful summer transfer window. Despite the losses of Alexander Sorloth and Filip Jorgensen, the Yellow Submarine have managed to recruit impressively, tying up the likes of Logan Costa, Thierno Barry, Ayoze Perez and Luiz Junior.
It had appeared that after the triple signing of Junior, Barry and Costa last week, Villarreal’s business for the summer would be done. However, a new defender is seemingly being sought. Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior has been a target for a possible loan deal, but as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, the Polish defender will not be leaving Arsenal before the transfer window closes on Friday.
🔴⚪️🔐 Arsenal have informed Jakub Kiwior and his camp that he’s not for sale.
Despite interest from Villarreal and Bologna on loan move, Arsenal want to keep Kiwior at the club.

It remains to be seen if Villarreal do manage to sign another player before Friday’s transfer deadline. Even if one more cannot be pulled off, there’s no doubt that the Castellon-based side have had a fantastic summer, and after a start of four points in their opening two matches, they look good for a successful season.
