Mats Hummels could be coming to La Liga in the very near future. Despite links with Mallorca having been proven false, the former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich defender is attracting interest from Real Sociedad, who are still looking for Robin Le Normand’s replacement.
Hummels is currently a free agent, following the expiry of his Dortmund contract at the end of June. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, he is their main defensive target, and more talks are planned with his representatives in the coming days.

On top of this, La Real are trying to sign a new striker before next week’s transfer deadline. They recently missed out on acquiring the services of Samu Omorodion, who left Atletico Madrid to join FC Porto. Borja Mayoral has been linked all summer, but there are doubts about his fitness levels.
The next seven days promise to be very busy for Real Sociedad, who will also soon receive the funds from Mikel Merino’s sale to Arsenal.
