Real Madrid and Brazil are set for a new club vs country row ahead of the September international break.

Los Blancos will be without their four Brazilian stars for two weeks at the start of next month with two FIFA World Cup qualifiers incoming.

Brazil host Ecuador on September 6 in Curitba, before heading to Paraguay four days later, with four more games split across the October and November windows

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed his plan to give players unofficial mid-season breaks on their return from international duty,  and that will be tested, as part of his strategy to manage game loads.

Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Eder Militao and Endrick Felipe have all been called up, with the latter three starting their last game in the Copa America, but all four will see some match action.

Barcelona have received a reprieve for this window, with Raphinha omitted, due to his one game suspension for the Ecuador game.
